Singapore – Singapore has once again made its mark on the region’s luxury cocktail scene, with five bars securing coveted spots in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 rankings. Jigger & Pony, housed in the Amara Hotel, leads the city-state’s representation, retaining its No. 3 position for the second year running.
The awards ceremony, held in Macau on July 15, crowned Hong Kong’s Bar Leone as Asia’s best bar for the second consecutive year. Opened in early 2023, Bar Leone made history as the first venue to debut at No. 1 on the list and has since maintained its dominance with its casual yet refined Italian-inspired concept in Hong Kong’s vibrant Central district.
Seoul’s Zest also held its ground at No. 2, mirroring last year’s top three lineup. For Singapore, alongside Jigger & Pony, Offtrack rose slightly to No. 23 (from No. 25), Nutmeg & Clove ranked No. 24 (down from No. 6), Cat Bite Club surged to No. 44 (from No. 77), and Native secured No. 45 (from No. 31).
Notably absent from the list this year is Atlas, the iconic Parkview Square venue, which had been ranked No. 49 in 2024 but did not appear in either the top 50 or the 51-100 rankings announced earlier this month.
In the extended list, six Singapore venues earned recognition: Sago House (No. 56), Origin Bar (No. 60), Night Hawk (No. 77), Employees Only (No. 89), Fura (No. 95), and newcomer Side Door at No. 53 – the highest-ranked among the extended group.
Bangkok emerged as the most represented city in the top 50, with seven establishments including Bar Us (No. 4), Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (No. 5), BKK Social Club (No. 19), G.O.D (No. 26), Vesper (No. 29), Opium (No. 43), and Bar Sathorn (No. 48).
The Asia’s 50 Best Bars list is compiled from votes cast by the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy, which comprises regional industry leaders such as bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, educators, and cocktail enthusiasts. Organised by William Reed, the same group behind The World’s 50 Best Bars and The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, the ranking continues to serve as a benchmark for excellence in mixology and hospitality.
The global spotlight will soon shift to The World’s 50 Best Bars awards, scheduled to be held in Hong Kong on October 8, where several of Asia’s top contenders are expected to feature prominently once again.
