Jakarta – Indonesia’s state-owned lender, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI), made an exceptional mark on the global financial stage by securing three prominent awards at the Triple A Treasurise Awards 2025, held by The Asset in Hong Kong.
The bank received the titles of Best in Treasury and Working Capital – Public Sector, Editor’s Triple Star for New BNIdirect, and Innovation Leader of the Year. These accolades underscore BNI’s forward-thinking approach in corporate banking and its successful digital transformation journey.
In a statement, Agung Prabowo, Director of Corporate Banking at BNI, remarked that the awards serve as a testament to BNI’s continuous efforts in offering cutting-edge digital banking solutions, particularly through its enhanced platform, BNIdirect.
The awards were received in person by Efransyah Mudani, General Manager of Wholesale Digital Channel, and Elia Tri Septiano, Vice President of Wholesale Transaction Product & Partnership at BNI, during the awarding ceremony on May 21 in Hong Kong.
Since its relaunch in October 2024, BNIdirect has evolved into a fully integrated financial platform, enabling corporate clients to manage payments, liquidity, foreign exchange transactions, and trade finance with greater efficiency and real-time accessibility.
In Q1 2025, the platform recorded an impressive 33.2% year-on-year increase in transaction value, reaching Rp 2,374 trillion, with a 16.4% rise in transaction volume, totaling 337 million transactions. The user base also grew significantly, now serving 188,000 corporate users.
