This strategic move aims to instill a sense of assurance and trust among users, particularly in situations where physical inspection of products is not feasible, a common challenge in online shopping.
Renowned artist and Shopee advocate, Vidi Aldiano, shared his experiences with the platform, citing occasional apprehensions about delayed deliveries. “One of my concerns has been the fear of delayed shipments resulting in orders not arriving on time,” he revealed. Aldiano welcomed the introduction of the On-Time Guarantee program, recognizing its potential to address such worries effectively.
Launched in February, the On-Time Guarantee program pledges timely delivery of orders to consumers. In instances where an order fails to meet the specified delivery date (the Guaranteed Arrival date), customers are entitled to receive a complimentary On-Time Guarantee voucher. This voucher can be claimed before the order status transitions to ‘completed’, offering users added peace of mind.
Monica Vionna, Director of Marketing Growth at Shopee Indonesia, emphasized the importance of user confidence for the platform. “We understand the paramount importance of timely order fulfillment for online shoppers,” she stressed in a press release issued on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
Through the implementation of the On-Time Guarantee program, Shopee endeavors to create a seamless and enjoyable shopping journey for both buyers and sellers. By ensuring transparency and reliability in the delivery process, consumers are more inclined to engage in transactions, ultimately benefiting sellers as well.
To maximize the benefits of the On-Time Guarantee program, Shopee offers users practical tips. Firstly, users can easily access the estimated Guaranteed Arrival date on the product page or during the checkout process. Secondly, regular monitoring of order status and estimated arrival times is recommended to stay informed about any potential delays.
Lastly, if the Guaranteed Arrival date has passed without the order’s receipt, users can claim a discount voucher worth IDR 10,000. Claiming is straightforward and can be done through the Order Details page, where the ‘claim’ option is available. It is imperative to ensure timely voucher redemption before the order status changes to ‘completed’. The voucher remains valid for 7 days post-claiming and can be applied to subsequent purchases. With the rollout of the On-Time Guarantee program and the comprehensive support provided by Shopee, users can navigate their online shopping experiences with confidence and certainty, knowing that their satisfaction remains a top priority for the platform.
