Laurent Junique of TDCX Named Businessman of the Year at Singapore Business Awards 2025

June 12, 2025

Singapore – In a ceremony that celebrates the finest in corporate leadership, Laurent Junique, Founder and CEO of TDCX, was named Businessman of the Year at the Singapore Business Awards 2025. The accolade recognizes not only Junique’s pioneering vision in the customer experience outsourcing sector, but also his instrumental role in positioning TDCX at the forefront of AI innovation.

Established in 1995, TDCX has evolved from a regional startup into a global BPO powerhouse with a presence in over 16 markets and a workforce of more than 20,000. Junique’s leadership has been marked by calculated risk-taking, resilience, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence—traits that have shaped TDCX into a trusted partner for blue-chip and high-growth tech companies worldwide.

“This award is both a personal honour and a shared achievement with my team, my family, and everyone who has walked this path with me,” Junique stated. “In a fast-changing landscape, we continue to evolve—expanding into AI, which has the potential to more than double our addressable market to over $1 trillion.”

The strategic pivot toward AI took a major step forward with the recent launch of Chemin, TDCX’s AI solutions arm. Named after the French word for “path,” Chemin aims to simplify AI adoption for enterprises, offering end-to-end support that bridges the gap between ambition and execution.

Despite a projected $1.3 trillion market for generative AI by 2032, adoption remains a hurdle for many businesses. Fragmented data, weak integration capabilities, and limited AI expertise continue to stall progress. Chemin addresses these pain points directly—offering services from data transformation and model training to workflow design and deployment.

Supported by a global team of AI engineers, data scientists, and vertical specialists—from robotics to genomics—Chemin leverages TDCX’s operational scale to deliver agile, impact-driven AI adoption strategies. Notably, the unit has already completed over 20 AI pilot projects spanning medical imaging, design automation, and customer service optimization.

At the helm of Chemin is Lianne Dehaye, a long-time TDCX executive with deep experience in AI implementation. Her results-driven approach and ability to demystify AI for business leaders make her a natural choice to lead the company’s most transformative initiative to date.

“AI is no longer a question of if, but how,” Dehaye noted. “Our mission is to make that ‘how’ accessible—clear, confident, and outcome-focused. With decades of expertise in customer experience transformation, we help organizations translate AI potential into real business value.”

The launch of Chemin marks another significant chapter for TDCX, which recently acquired Open Access BPO as part of its continued growth trajectory. Backed by a solid balance sheet and proven operational excellence, the company is poised to accelerate digital transformation across industries.

The Singapore Business Awards, co-organized by The Business Times and DHL, remain one of the country’s most prestigious corporate honours. In addition to Businessman of the Year, categories include Outstanding CEO, Enterprise Award, Young Business Leader, and Outstanding Overseas Executive—each spotlighting individuals who drive meaningful progress across industries.
